JW Land Works LLC was formed by two friends that grew up in East Texas, Jon Johnson (aka Jon-Jon) and Wynn Worthen. Jon and Wynn have been friends since high school after meeting at church and bonding over sports.

Their friendship continued into college where they were roommates. Jon graduated from Tyler Junior College with an Associates in Welding Technology while Wynn graduated from UT Tyler with a Bachelors in Business Management. After graduation, Jon went into the welding industry and pivoted his career into the power plant service industry. Meanwhile Wynn began managing and growing his local family business.

Over the years Jon and Wynn stayed in touch and would regularly hang out and work on side projects together and Jon dreamed of starting his own business.

That dream came true in in 2022. Jon and Wynn teamed up to start JW Land Works incorporating Jon’s machinery background and Wynn’s experience in running a successful business.

Jon and Wynn started this business because they love working outside and helping locals with anything from lawn care to clearing over grown acreage.

Jon and Wynn are both married with children and love to help other East Texas families with their outdoor needs.
